What inspired the brand name?

When thinking about the brand concept and name i would overthink a lot about everything. Overthinking would lead to self deprecating thoughts about myself. Selfdestrct means that only you can "destroy" yourself, limit yourself, and stop yourself from being great. It is your thoughts that make you who you are.

At what moment did you realize you wanted to start a brand?

Senior year of High School i started tailoring my pants because i have always been picky about how my clothes fit. I then also sewed on other items like shirts. I then decided to start a brand and study graphic design.

What helps you get over creative blocks?

Not pressuring myself too much to think about new ideas, going for random walks around my city and observing everything i can see , working out, hanging out with my friends, Socializing more. Basically refreshing my mind. Sometimes i get ideas when i'm out having fun and sometimes when i'm focused on working.

What is the biggest mistake you have made?

I filed my sales to the IRS about 5 months late and i got fined about $600. However i only see it as a lesson and it happened for a reason. Good thing i had sold the most i had sold that same week, i paid it off and still had some profit from the sales. Yea i could have used that money for the brand but it also motivated me to work harder.

What is the biggest success you have had?

My Personal development and growth as a person. I am a totally different person from when i first started my brand. I see how people behave and i start to understand people better such as myself. I also really enjoy meeting new people that are into the same things.

A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION PEOPLE MAY FIND WEIRD?

A Go karting shirt i got my brother at a thrift store when on my trip to California.

Favorite color to use?

Red. I don't use it a lot because red is a strong color but i like putting hints of red here and there. Using it wisely. Black is the color that is used the most because of it's classiness and versatility.

Midnight Studios because Shane's designs are clean but not basic.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AND THE BRAND IN 1 YEAR AND 5 YEARS?

In 1 year i see myself having a selfdestrct office/warehouse where my friends and i make great things and ideas. In 5 years i see me and my friends traveling around the world doing pop up shops, business meetings, and making new connections
