WHAT INSPIRED THE BRAND NAME?
Basically it’s a metaphor for a state of mind. If you dig deep enough, everyone on this earth has done something someone else would consider bad. So no matter where we are we are always Among Thieves.
AT WHAT MOMENT DID YOU REALIZE YOU WANTED TO START A BRAND?
The brand is very hip hop inspired to its core, and that is represented in every design I make. I've been in love with hip hop since I was a little kid, the music, the style, the slang, the struggle, I just became consumed by everything about the culture. I also have been doing graphic design pretty much my whole life, started on internet forums making custom profile pics for users, mostly music and video game forums like shoryuken.com. Did a lot of mixtape covers for friends, and flyers for businesses, stuff like that.
Then basically after I got finished with design school my first job was working as a designer and production for a college t-shirt website. Got to learn hands on how to screen print and design for tees. Realized I really loved making t-shirts and that is the moment I knew I wanted to start a brand. Being the hip hop head I am and knowing that there really isn't a lot of "quality" hip hop themed clothing sites so Among Thieves was born.

Getting away from everything and taking a drive with my dog listening to new hip hop albums

Not believing in myself sooner

Honestly the grocery store or shopping in general lol. I do a lot of logo flips and for example, i walked past an frozen food end cap and saw some "Nestle Drumstix" ice cream and i immediately got struck with a creative idea to make my design "DamnShe Dumbthicc". This isn't the first time lol, I've gotten lots of ideas this way lol

Cookies. Berner is the man, loved his music and love that he was able to take his brand 'Cookies' and make one the best streetwear brands and marijuana brands, that is just amazing. Everything I want Among Thieves to be, we will get there eventually.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AND THE BRAND IN 1 YEAR AND 5 YEARS?
I definitely see myself still working harder than ever, and I see Among Thieves being successful and starting to get some recognition by dropping fire designs consistently.
