Story mfg. introduces the Fable Jacket in Indigo Check Handloom, a boxy cropped hooded silhouette crafted with a fully handwoven cotton outer.
As seen in the images, the jacket balances volume and structure through gathered sleeve seams, elasticated cuffs, and a drawcord hem that allows the shape to shift depending on styling. The outer is made from handwoven cotton check, paired with a cotton lining and cotton wadding for added warmth and softness.
Design details include a concealed snap button placket layered over a two-way zip, along with two front flap pockets featuring side entry. The cropped fit enhances its sculptural proportions while maintaining everyday wearability.
Each metre of the handwoven fabric takes approximately eight hours to complete, reinforcing Story mfg.’s commitment to slower processes and preserving traditional craft techniques.
