What inspired the brand name?

What inspired us to think of the brand name was day to day living and always trying to do more in life and live for the moment. Eventually doing the same thing every day gets dull and hits the spirit hard, and we wanted to create something that brings energy and good spirits that makes you feel good in life and so we came up with the name potion cause what we think ,make or bring to reality feels almost like potion we had taken. it all comes down to what’s your potion in life and clothes is ours.

At what moment did you realize you wanted to start a brand?

In reality when me( Jose ) and my girl ( Paloma )where working in her moms corner store for 70+ hours a week in 2017 .we were really watching the hype for underground fashion all over Instagram and internet, people were really making whatever and expressing however they feel through the clothes and it’s crazy seeing what people can design , we were thinking that maybe we should give it a shot and create a brand from the ground up and that’s when we created potion and now designing and making everything our selves Because we do what we really want to do in life.

What helps you get over creative blocks?

Learning the creative flow and not trying to force anything and long drives honestly, also SHROOMS !

What is the biggest mistake you have made?

Our biggest mistake was thinking that we needed other people to help execute our ideas and make our clothes. So it really held us back for a second on trying to rely on other people , we knew that we had the ability to take action on what we really want to make or get done.

What is the biggest success you have had?

Learning the knowledge and skill set that we have now and our equipment. Sewing machine , serger , embroidery Machine, screenprinter.

Our love for each other and how we want more in life and see the bigger picture.

ARE THERE ANY RETAIL SHOPS YOU WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU BRAND IN?

No we plan to open up our own stores , and be international.

Honestly there’s a lot of brands that inspire us in so many different ways.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AND THE BRAND IN 1 YEAR AND 5 YEARS?

I see us expanding and learning a lot of new skills and designing excellent quality pieces. Having a store here in Tacoma ,Washington In the next year and a store in Shibuya ,Tokyo by 5 years. plus have a team full of friends and family , produce more finer Luxury bags with fine detail , make designs for curtain shoes , also better quality hats.
