What inspired the brand name?
The name just came to mind at a random moment one day, to be honest lol. 'Ligue des Nobles' means 'Nobles’ League' in French, which is my first language. When I decided to start an apparel line, I knew that I wanted it to be something where African excellence is celebrated (I'm Congolese☺️). I think that 'noble' is a great word to describe Africa, its people, and our culture overall, and I thought it would be dope to create a "league" per se where our excellence can be celebrated — hence our slogan 'A league of our own.
At what moment did you realize you wanted to start a brand?
I wanted to start my own brand for years but I was too scared to do it. I think being at home during the pandemic gave me time to explore more of my creative ideas and make them into something.
What helps you get over creative blocks?
I usually just let it go and the ideas will come to me later on at a random time.
What is the biggest mistake you have made?
Not believing in myself.
What is the biggest success you have had?
Getting my first orders for Ligue des Nobles lol

In 1 year, I see the brand expanding globally. In 5 years, I see the brand being a highly successful lifestyle brand, with a couple flagship stores around the globe and doing some dope collaborations with other big brands 🙏🏾🤞🏾
