Vision for Spring / Summer 2022:

With our SS22 collections, Ethik Worldwide is injecting a refreshing pastiche into streetwear. By mixing vintage formats with timeless silhouettes and bold details, we hope to create a texture or a landscape; somewhere you can see and feel the fabrics simultaneously.

We used a combination of DSLR, Cinema, 35mm film, and super 8mm film to capture our visuals. There is a sharp juxtaposition between the cool high resolution DSLR media and the warm, dense aesthetic of the 35mm. We are leaning on the past but looking towards the future.

VOL. I:

This distinction is apparent when you look through Ethik Worldwide: VOL. I; our first bouquet of images. We consider it a bouquet because of the careful arrangement of the images.

ie:

We wanted to do something different from our look books of the past. Our previous look books were clean and modern. This book feels old, as if it were passed down. It has patina and character and there is no white space. Every page is carefully packed with motifs and processes that unify it as a collection.

SS22 Short Film:

This same attention to detail and feeling flows throughout the entirety of the SS22 short film. Though episodic in nature, it is held together by the same glue as VOL. I; vintage formats, motifs and patina texture.

The grain, the warmth, the density. The vintage appeal of the 8mm film was the star of our SS22 visual. If the cinema camera shots look like a movie, the super 8mm shots look like a 1970’s home video.

Spring II ‘22:

With the second installment of SS22, Spring II, we return to an iconic streetwear silhouette in one of our most notorious textiles; the quarter zip with a nylon construction.

In an effort to produce something of outstanding quality we have sourced many materials and fabrications to arrive at our current nylon construction however one thing has remained the same; our designs are bold.
